Marymoor RC Club Promo
The Marymoor RC Club (MAR/C), AMA charter #1610, has been promoting RC flying since the 1960's in Redmond, Washington. It means a lot to so many people. As such - it felt fitting to make a promo video to showcase what our favorite RC club is doing to further aviation in the Pacific Northwest.
A special thanks to Ben Kraft for the amazing edit, and to all of the amazing volunteers and people that make the Marymoor RC Club what it is today.

Luscombe 8F Grass Landings | Duvall, WA

Had a fun time doing some laps around the patch at a private strip in Duvall, WA with the 1959 Luscombe 8F. Apologize for the shaky GoPro angles - did as best as I could stabilizing them. Thanks to JustPlaneBen ( ruclips.net/user/iBricksGamingvideos ) for filming the Mavic angle and @motoadveBackcountry182 for filming the ground dynamic camera. Enjoy!

GIANT R/C Mudgy 133 Maiden Flights | M-133 |
Просмотров 8 тыс.3 года назад
See below for Specs and FAQ This video is a year in the making - local Marymoor R/C Club members Bryan, Hailin, and Ian came up with the idea of making an extremely light for its size C-133 based aircraft after visiting Oshkosh in 2019. Soon thereafter, their newspaper build plans turned into a full on massive project, and almost a year to the day after starting it, she took to the skies for th...

R/C Float Plane sHeNaNiGaNs and CRASHES
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.4 года назад
Here's some footage from a prior outing to a friend's private property/pond where we all brought along our R/C float planes and flew most of the day. It was great being somewhere isolated that was also technically challenging to fly in (as opposed to a wide open massive lake). There were a few minor incidents along the way, but everyone walked away a bit more experienced at the end of the day a...
Scratch Built R/C Mudgy STOL Concept Maiden (2015)
Просмотров 7914 года назад
Another quick edit from 2015 - club member Bryan's R/C STOL concept, the Mudgy series. With this design, he decided to try a completely different take on the airframe/tail section/and wing assembly. The overall result looks like a cross between a Walt Disney designed fuselage and a standard STOL wing with fowler flaps. Unfortunately after a few flights he decided it was a dud and didn't do quit...
Parkzone UMX Mosquito Piggy Back with Stinson FAIL

Throwback to 2015 (pardon the odd shenanigans, we were [mainly I was] young dumb and having fun). Our buddy Tim made an awesome piggy back for his Mosquito on top of his Stinson but unfortunately it didn't quite work as planned. Kudos to Tim for a great job building the release and coming up with the idea!

Fall City [1WA6] Landing in a Mooney M20E
Your title is a lie, sir! 😤🫵🏻 You spent most, if not all of your time, flying on the outskirts of Seattle- Bellevue, Renton, etc… tsk tsk!
8:04-8:36 Good Lord what on Earth was that godawful sound??? Also idk why that one lady had to run her mouth for so long into the radio; I suppose brevity is beyond her haha.
This video starts at 4:15. You welcum.
tube uno y no fui capaz hacerlo volar lo tenia con motor 20cc gasolina pero era ingobernable y se acabo estrellando centro de gravedad bien todo normal pero en dos intentos no habia quien lo volara
Awesome to see how far you've come now with the tail heavy channel. He'll of a pilot man!
What batteries do you use?
Fantastic fly video, What is your C.G? ¿Puedes decirme la incidencia del motor? THANKS for your help.
I just got a telemaster for a float plane. I have .91 2 stroke and it torque rolls also. Did you do anything to the control surfaces?
Beautiful airplane
So very cool I'd love to learn that
Hope you still have her! I still have mine from all those years ago and I still fly her regularly. Great trainer, great 3D flyer and everything in between! One of my favorite medium sized planes. Great video and great flying! Your video is refreshing!
Are you ever going to upload again?
Check out my new channel as of the last few years - TailHeavyProductions
I know this is from ages ago, but what set up did you guys use? 4S or 5S, and what motor? Do I recognise somebody from Tail Heavy Productions? :)
4s 5000 set up. Don't recall the stuff but it's outdated and if I still had it, it would be converted to a more modern set up. Possibly. 😜
@@RedDevilSquadron Thanks very much, I was hoping I could make mine with a 4S set up, thanks!
Very cool. I used to own N5879A. They must have came off the assembly line the same day!
Beautifull airmodel
Nice job
The best 🏆💪🏼 video 📷 ever
My husband and I had a Globe Swift. My husband said a Swift was as close to a Spitfire as you could get in the civilian world.
It really is the most fun general aviation airplane I’ve flown. Felt like a mini warbird.
This is a great video. Lots of angles, beautiful country and a nice Luscombe. Also I love your panel.
F Model show offs
Who is the pilot of that plane
SCARYMOORE IN REDMOND WASH??? FLEW THIER IN THE LATE 70S 80S didnt know it was still thier......
How long of flights are you getting?
4-5 minutes unfortunately
Is that Tail Heavy Productions’ old field?
Oh wow I didn’t recognize him!
Just stumbled over this while searching for float-flying videos and got to see at least on of you TailHeavy guys here, interesting look to the past ;)
This is my old channel - lots of fun memories here. Thanks for stopping by! -Zach
I wanna add music to this video
My instructor broke my teeth in the cockpit 😢 in 2008 then I joined Army 😅
😮Love the sound of the O-300 - raised in 172"s, my first ride in N7080A at eight months, then N3863R (in which my dad soloed, 1967)...... respect density altitudes and short strips- the 0-300 airplanes are tough and reliable but you can get in trouble overestimating them...a sound you never forget in one, right at liftoff when the wheel rumble stops, the prop snores, and you know you're flying.
How much did it cost? 💲
Do you have the stock receiver in?
Check out the video description for full details on the set up. 👍
I watched this video a decade ago as I was just starting flight training and I still have fun watching it today:)
If you have fun flying a model airplane like this, then more power to you, but this is not realistic, it does not represent the way a real airplane flies, so to me it is pointless. I am 65 years old and my Dad and I flew R/C in the 1970's, and he built scale model P-51's and Sopwith Camels, but they looked realistic when they flew---and when they crashed. There was no 'torque rolling' in those days!
The beauty of RC these days is you can fly planes in ways full scale planes would never be able to come close to...all while not putting your own or other's lives at risk. Like you said - have fun flying the way YOU want to fly.
Nov 10/ 2023 and watching your excellent video
Haha can't believe this video is 10 years old
Finally some entertaining pilots.
Both of your landings were BUTTER! Nicely done man.
Thanks! Dang...didn't realize this video was 10 years old 😳
Isnt this channel the tail heavy today he sound exactly the same
This is my old channel, yup -Zach
Ah yes the lake, the only airplane i know of that pitches up when the engine fails.
SeaRey does it, too - most planes with a pusher configuration do thanks in part to the high thrust line.
I suddenly want to build an R/C Douglas C-133 so badly right now!
What is your weight limit for aero in the RV6?
Beautiful video!!!
I hope your still flying her !!! Great flight 😉😎
Thx! Check out my newer channel “Tail Heavy Productions” for more Fun Cub videos 👍
@@RedDevilSquadron arrr ok I'm subscribed to tail-heavy , I hadn't made the connection , I love your stuff Dude 😉😎 love from New Zealand 🤪
W16 is my home airport. I'm thinking about buying a Mooney M20E. Do you still fly in the area?
Nice! Nope.
This plane is the one of 2 still flyable and its located at WAAAM in hood River Oregon
Very cool trip. 😊
Next time please tell us where your flying out of and where to. Thanks.
Is this the 60 hp?
An 8F is 90hp
this plane is featured a lot on tailheavy productions whats up with that
This is my old channel. 👍 -Zach
